Instruction
Opening: to begin I will explain what the Micropipette is. I will show how to use it and be sure to mention how to handle it. Then I will pass out the labs taken from the Amgen lab book. I will then pass out Micropipettes and the other supplies
Activities: The students will carry out the processes listen on pages 1.2-1.4 in the Amgen lab manual (http://www.csun.edu/~jcm68622/biology/subjects/biotechnology/student/Student%20Guide%203rd%20Ed.pdf ) this lab gives the students practice transferring liquid in small increments using the micropipettes. This will be useful in future labs.

Closing: To finish the assignment I will outline the lab that we will be doing in two days using the micropipettes I will also hand out the lab itself so the students can look over the lab and become accustomed to the techniques used.

Assessment Notes: There will be no formal assessment for this lesson.
